First connection: Everything syncs

The first time you open Pictalk Buddy Watch, a connection is required. It's very simple: enter the code from the Pictalk Buddy app on your phone in the "Connected watch" menu. Once the watch is added, it will perform an initial synchronization, which can take from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the amount of content to download from your Pictalk Buddy app.

Note: the code is valid for only one hour and automatically updates.

Step 1: The code consists of four alphanumeric characters.

Step 2: Open the Pictalk Buddy app and go to the connected watch menu. Tap Pair and enter the code displayed on the watch.

Step 3: Done! The watch will automatically perform an initial synchronization that can last several minutes. The watch downloads all your content for offline access.

Pictalk Buddy Watch offers quick access to three complementary apps:

Current event: Always visible

When you open the app, the current event is clearly displayed at the center of the screen. A blue circle surrounds the watch to visualize the remaining time - no surprises! The title, start and end times are also shown for complete information.

Agenda: anticipating for better living

Because we strongly believe that seeing the future reduces anxiety, the events for the next seven days can be viewed with a simple gesture. Clicking any event reveals its details: GPS navigation via Google Maps, triggering personalized sequences, or the ability to validate or refuse the activity.

Event validation: Your choice matters

Self-determination is fundamental at Pictalk. Each user can validate a completed task or refuse it independently. This validation appears instantly on the watch AND on the caregiver's phone (if the watch is connected to the Internet) - real-time communication!

Notifications and alarms

From your Pictalk Buddy app on your phone, easily create personalized notifications and alarms that appear directly on the watch: medication reminders, bathroom breaks, activity changes... The person being supported receives their reminders autonomously, at the right time, without external intervention!

 

Sequences: Your routines at your wrist

All your Pictalk Buddy sequences are directly accessible from the watch. The app flawlessly plays videos, audios, speech syntheses, and images. Your routines travel with you everywhere!

Pictalk Buddy Timers: Visualize the time

This app works perfectly with the Cards. Launched from the Cards, it allows you to choose the desired duration (5, 20, 60 or 120 minutes). When opened from the main menu, it displays the current timer.

When the time runs out, don’t worry: the watch vibrates and rings for 10 seconds to gently alert you.

Pictalk AAC: Essential communication

On a connected watch, Pictalk AAC focuses on the essentials: 25 carefully selected pictograms. Politeness, emergency situations, simple requests—all are included for quick and efficient communication, without navigating menus.

We intentionally limited the number of pictograms to keep usage smooth and intuitive. The essentials right at your fingertips!

Cards: Effortless access at your gesture

Cards (or Tiles in English) are the little plus that makes a big difference! Easily accessible with a swipe to the right or left from your watch’s main screen, they provide ultra-quick access to your most used functions.

Pictalk Buddy Watch offers two essential Cards:
