Pair your Wear OS watch

Installation: As easy as pie

Using your phone, go to the Pictalk Buddy app page: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pictime.application.twa&hl=en

First connection: Everything syncs

The first time you open Pictalk Buddy Watch, connection is required. It’s simple: enter the code from your phone’s Pictalk Buddy app in the "Connected Watch" menu. Once the watch is added, it will perform an initial sync which can take seconds to several minutes depending on the volume of content to download from your Pictalk Buddy app.

Note: the code is valid for only one hour. It changes automatically.

Step 1: The code consists of four alphanumeric characters.

Step 2: Open the Pictalk Buddy app and go to the connected watch menu. Click Pair and enter the code displayed by the watch.

Step 3: Done! The watch automatically performs initial syncing which can last a few minutes. The watch downloads all your content so it is accessible offline.

The current event: Always visible

When opening the app, the ongoing event is clearly displayed in the center of the screen. A blue circle surrounds the watch to visualize the remaining time—no more surprises! The title, start and end time are also present providing complete information.

Schedule: Anticipate for better living

Because we strongly believe that seeing ahead reduces anxiety, the events of the next seven days are accessible with a simple gesture. A click on any event reveals its details: GPS navigation via Google Maps, triggering personalized sequences, or the option to validate or refuse the activity.

Event validation: Your choice matters

Self-determination is fundamental at Pictalk. Each user can validate a completed task or refuse it independently. This validation appears instantly both on the watch AND on the caregiver’s phone (if the watch is connected to the Internet) — real-time communication!

Notifications and alarms

From your Pictalk Buddy phone app, easily create personalized notifications and alarms that arrive directly on the watch: medication intake, bathroom breaks, activity changes... The accompanied person receives their reminders autonomously, at the right time, without external intervention!

 

Sequences: Your routines on the wrist

All your Pictalk Buddy sequences are accessible directly from the watch. The app plays videos, audios, speech synthesis messages, and images perfectly. Your routines follow you everywhere!

Pictalk Buddy Timers: Time visualized

This app works in perfect harmony with the Tiles. Launched from the Tiles, it allows choosing the desired duration (5, 20, 60 or 120 minutes). Opened from the main menu, it displays the timer currently running.

When time runs out, no stress: the watch vibrates and rings for 10 seconds to gently warn.

Pictalk AAC: Communication essentials

On a smartwatch, Pictalk AAC focuses on the essentials: 25 carefully selected pictograms. Politeness, emergency situations, simple requests—all are there to communicate quickly and efficiently without getting lost in menus.

We deliberately limited the number of pictograms to maintain fluid and intuitive use. The essentials at your fingertips!

The Tiles: Efficiency with a swipe

The Tiles (called Tiles in English) are the little extra that changes everything! Accessible with a simple swipe right or left from your watch’s main screen, they offer ultra-fast access to the most used functions.

Pictalk Buddy Watch offers two essential Tiles:
