Your app is no longer working?
You may have noticed: our apps can be installed on Android, iOS, Mac, Windows, and others. That’s a very large number of devices to test and support. We do our best, but sometimes issues go undetected.
Smartphones and tablets only: when opening your app, the website appears
We have extensively worked these past months on restructuring the Pictalk AAC app and the website. As a result, the app has been moved to https://application.pictalk.org and the newly created website is at https://www.pictalk.org (old app address). Your device might have missed the update. Here are the steps to resolve the issue:
- Open the Play Store or the App Store to check that your device has been updated. Update if necessary. Restart your phone once the update is complete. Here are tutorials depending on your device.
- For Apple devices (iPhone and iPad): see this Apple tutorial
- For Android devices (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.): see this Google tutorial
- If this solution does not work, clear your browser cache. Don’t worry! You won’t lose any data in Pictalk or elsewhere. Here are detailed tutorials
- For Chrome browsers (most popular): Follow this tutorial
- For Safari browsers (Apple devices in general): Follow this tutorial
- For Firefox browsers: Follow this tutorial
- Check that you have the latest iOS or Android version. If an update is available, perform it.
- Contact us if this is not enough. (Contact tab)
Computer: I access the website instead of the app when I type "pictalk" or "pictalk.org" or "www.pictalk.org"
That’s completely normal! We have moved the Pictalk app to https://application.pictalk.org instead of https://pictalk.org or https://pictalk.org
To access the app directly, type https://application.pictalk.org.
The app doesn’t speak, I don’t have voices on my device
In this case, we redirect you to a great article we wrote: https://www.pictalk.org/fr/article/installer-une-voix-de-synthese
